Ispat Damodar is planning to expand its steel plant in Digha in Neturia Tehsil in Purulia district of West Bengal. The project involves expanding ferro alloys unit by setting up additional 2 x 7.5 MVA furnaces, sponge iron plant capacity from 60000 tpa to 105000 tpa, new pelletization plant 600000 tpa, captive power plant of 40 MW, steel melting shop capacity by adding 2 x 15 T induction furnace, EAF of 1 x 20T, LDF of 1 x 20T, VOD /AOD of 1 x 20T capacity, rolling mill capacity of 200000 tpa.
