West Bengal government plans new bridges in Purba Mednipur

West Bengal government through its Irrigation & Waterways Department has invited bids in two separate packages for construction of RCC bridges over drainage channels and irrigation canals. The work includes construction of 133 RCC bridges as part of infrastructure GAP project in the districts of Purba & Paschim Medinipur in West Bengal. The estimated value of the project in Phase-I is ₹ 132.42 crore and Phase-II is ₹ 178.26 crore. The project involves construction of 60 RCC bridges in the district of Paschim Medinipur, Phase-II includes construction of 73 RCC bridges in the district of Purba Medinipur.
